Rina’s story is one of faith, family, perseverance, hard work, and determination. Born and raised on the beautiful island of ‘Eua in the Kingdom of Tonga, she grew up in a humble family where she learned that success comes through dedication, discipline, and honest work.

From an early age, Rina helped her family with daily responsibilities. Working alongside her father at the family plantation and helping feed and care for the pigs, she learned valuable lessons about responsibility, perseverance, and the dignity of hard work. These experiences became the foundation of the values she would carry throughout her life.

At just 17 years old, Rina left Tonga and traveled to the United States in pursuit of education, opportunity, and a better future. Leaving her family and familiar surroundings at such a young age was challenging, but she faced the journey with courage and determination.

Although she was thousands of miles from home, the teachings of her parents remained with her. The lessons she learned on the plantation reminded her to value every opportunity, work through challenges, and never forget where she came from.
